I had the privilege of spending Saint Valentine's Day with some seven year old lovelies. They were exchanging sweet Valentine notes written in their newly learned writing. So sweet. There is something about seven year olds. They aren't quite babies, they are rough and tumbly, but they still smell like strawberries and have tender little hearts.
So, I spent the afternoon in this dialogue:
Seven year old strawberry: "What does this say?"
Me: "It says, "You are sweet.""
Seven year old strawberry: "What does this say?"
Me: "It says, "You are funny.""
Seven year old strawberry: "What does this say?"
Me: "It says, "You are caring.""
You get the picture. It went on like this for 45 minutes. The best one?
Written on a rock: You are cuckoo in the best possible way!
How lucky am I! You should be so lucky. Heehee.
