I know that Los Angeles has a bad reputation. Every time I told somebody in Eugene, Oregon that I was moving to Los Angeles, they would get a sad look on their faces and let out a heavy sigh...

I found myself defending my choice, but meekly. The first year I lived here, my new acquaintances began to refer to Eugene as "Camelot." I suppose that is really how I felt. It took several years to love Los Angeles, and now I do. I really do. I am so grateful for my time in this land of sun and shore and mountain and desert, warm winters and sweltering summers.

And there are days like this.... Days filled with tree ripened citrus, busy bees and borage, new sprouts and mild weather...these are days I cherish.

City of Angels, sometimes you are soooo yummy, I could eat you with a spoon!

Oh, how I love thee...

I love your pictures of a warm spring day. Even with all the faults in my city, a beautiful day in the garden take away the negative feelings.
